Lowie Van Diest I was born in Hot Springs, South Dakota and was raised in Southern
California. Started showing horses at age twelve and won numerous
California youth championships. In 1978 I gave up my amateur status to
begin professionally training and showing horses on the American Quarter
Horse Association circuit, at the same time raised a champion stallion that
produced several AQHA world champions.
In February 1981, married Martin Van Diest who has been my partner for
twenty years. Blessed in 1983 with a son, 1985 with a daughter and 1989 with
another son.
Although I had a strong love for the horse industry, staying at home with my
family was most important... keeping busy however, was a necessity.
I started creating special gifts for my family and making home decorating
items for friends... this lead to the business I still have today, "Lowie". Working
with decorators and their clients to create that perfect piece to finish a room.

the picture."
In 1997 we moved to San Antonio, Texas. I knew within a year... we were here
to stay. I am now proud to be associated with Sterling Group Realty, as a real
estate licensee in Texas.
